I'm Laura Gallup, and I started this blog for a different journalism class, but am going to continue it for "Independent Media".
Now onto media... I talked to my Republican father today and he asked if I'd heard about the ACORN scandal. When I said no he was very surprised, so I had to go look it up. Apparently two people dressed up as a pimp and a prostitute secretly filmed this organization giving them advice on prostitution! Now the Senate has voted to discontinue funding to the organization!
An article on The Telgraph calls the site with the story BigGovernment.com "two twenty-something independents with a few thousand dollars, a bit of time and a lot of guts."
